What we are looking for

  • At least one year of experience teaching German.
  • Proficiency in German at a C1 level or higher.
  • Fluent English for clear communication with students and the team.
  • A recognized teaching certification (e.g., Goethe-Institut, telc, DTZ, or equivalent).
  • Punctual and reliable, consistently arriving on time and respecting scheduled lesson durations.
  • Committed to student bookings with a strong track record of attendance and minimal cancellations.
  • A thoughtful, encouraging teaching style paired with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • A reliable high-speed internet connection and a clear HD webcam for a professional virtual classroom experience.

What to expect

You will be engaged as an independent contractor and paid for teaching hours on a monthly basis. You are responsible for handling your own taxes, insurance, registrations, and any other legal or financial obligations connected to your work. This role does not constitute employment.

Applicants should be prepared to complete a two-hour interview and teaching assessment. The assessment will simulate the first class a student would attend, and candidates should prepare basic German learning material targeting A2 level.
